About Micro
Micro was founded in Küsnacht, near Zurich, in 1996 by Swiss engineer Wim Ouboter, who developed the modern folding kick scooter as a simple way to cover short distances in the city. By 2001 the company had already sold two million scooters worldwide.
Today Micro is a Swiss family-run company known for high-quality, safe and durable scooters — from the Mini Micro for toddlers to the Maxi Micro for older children and folding scooters for adults — and it continues to develop new solutions for urban mobility.
